What kind of computer equipment do I need to use these CDs ?
Minimum: Intel Celeron 600 MHz processor with 32 MP RAM, CD-ROM drive, 1.44 FDD, 20GB HDD, 14” color Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Sound Card, Speaker.
Recommended: Intel P III 800 MHz (or higher) processor with 128MB RAM, CD-ROM drive, 1.44 FDD, 20GB HDD, 14” color Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Sound Card, Speaker.
Operating System: Windows 95,98,MR/NT,2000/XP Internet Browser IE 5.0 and above Software is best viewed on 800 x 600 (16 bit) resolution.

Why are the Form VI CDs more expensive than those for Form V ?
The Form VI CDs covers the syllabus for both Lower VI and Upper VI and the material are much more voluminous.

Is Score Plus approved by the Ministry of Education ?
The Ministry of Education has a standing policy to not endorse educational products and services. However, Ministry officials as well as many rectors and teachers have reviewed the product with favourable results.

Do the Score Plus CDs cover everything that students study in school ?
Score Plus CDs were designed to meet the requirements of the Cambridge SC/HSC/GCE curriculum. The CDs cover 90% of the topics studied in Mauritian schools. As well, there are many extras such as biographies of famous scientists, 3D animations, video clips of experiments and a bank of 15 to 50 questions & answers per chapter included. And, unlike a book Score Plus owners can download new content from the Score Plus web site as it is added.

How do I install Score Plus on my computer ?
Each Score Plus CD comes with a hard copy installation guide and users manual.

Will I have access to a Help Line ?
The Score Plus Help Desk is open during regular business hours and can help you with both installation and use of the product.

What are the Special Discount Prices ?
The Discount Prices are listed on the accompanying Price Sheet. In order to launch this innovative product in the Mauritian marketplace, these prices are 15% to 20% lower than our regular retail prices for multiple purchase.
10.
What if I want to upgrade my PC, send for repair, reformat it or change to a new PC ?
First you will have to uninstall the Scoreplus Program from your hard disk. From your Control Panel select ‘Add/Removes programs’, select Scoreplus program then click ‘Change/Removes Programs’. Insert floppy disk key when prompted. Uninstallation will start.

PROCEDURE FOR INSTALLATION OF DEMO CD
01. Turn on the PC.
02. Insert the Demo CD into the D drive .
03. Right click Start .
04. Click Explore .
05. Click on SCOREPLUS DEMO in the left pane .
06. Click on Score Plus Mu De .
07. In the right pane, locate and double-clicking on Autorun icon .
08. Click on RUN DEMO SOFTWARE .
09. Click on Score Plus .
10. Click on the subject that you wish to explore
(The chapter contents will be displayed) .
11. Click on the Demo Chapter (The Top underline one)
A window containing the topics under that chapter appears
onthe screen .
12. Click/Take your pick of the topic .
EXPLORING SCOREPLUS
The software runs in three modes, namely ‘Play’ mode, ‘Step’ mode and Teacher’s mode ‘►║’
When you open any chapter, it starts in the ‘Play’ mode.
The Play mode
This mode mimics a teacher teaching in a classroom environment.
. It has complete narration of the text with automatic page turning facility when the narration of the page is complete.
. The animations which will help the overall understanding process, can be viewed step-by-step by clicking on the highlighted text (in blue), without skipping any intermediate step.
. You can view video clips associated with the page to further enhance your learning.
The Step mode
This mode is used to understand and digest the subject matter at one’s own pace for better assimilation of the subject learnt.
. You can read the subject matter at your own pace. Hence the text is not narrated.

The Teacher’s mode
If the Teacher wants to pause the animations, he can clicks on ║ on the top left of the screen. To continue the animations, he clicks on ►

. The teacher can do his own inputs when he has pause the animations, going to the black board or textbook.
. He can ask questions whether the class has understood so far or what is going to happen next, hence he can assess the level of understanding of the class.
. When the teacher restarts the animations, it will start exactly where he has stopped.
To stop the DEMO, close all boxes. Click Exit. Remove the CD.
